Dawn Extension - Privacy Policy

1. Data That You Share

The Dawn extension for Chrome and Edge values your privacy. Therefore, it only stores information needed to deliver the functionality of Dawn with a good user-experience. No data is used for any commercial or malevolent purposes.

• The contents of each indivual card
• The weather and your location (optional: can be turned off in chrome://settings/content/location)
• Data related to your preferences, such as welcome name, your desired dashboard layout, and so forth
• State data such as which cards are expanded, scroll-positions, and so forth, to maximize user-experience when opening a new tab

2. Your Rights and Choices

Access

You can view and download your data stored by the Dawn extension through the extension's interface in Settings.

Deletion

Besides accessing, you can delete your data from the Dawn extension at any time, which will delete it from your local device and from the synchronization service. This deletion is permanent and cannot be undone, however, the data may be retained for some period of time by the synchronization service. The duration of this retention period is dependent upon the policies of the synchronization service used (which could be either Google for Chrome or Microsoft for Edge).

3. Data Security

As your data is synchronized across devices using chrome.storage.sync API, the security of your data relies on the security measures employed by your browser's synchronization service, which could be either Google for Chrome or Microsoft for Edge. Please consult the privacy policy of these services for more details on their security practices.

4. Data Sharing

Some of the data collected may be shared with the following third parties:

• The data synchronization service provided by Google or Microsoft.
• The geolocation service to provide accurate weather updates.
• A Llama2 API service (https://rapidapi.com/acolydebaian8/api/gpts4u/) to enhance the Mantra Card functionality. (optional: Only activates when clicking on the 'Daily Mantra 🪄'-tab)

To each of these services, Dawn only discloses the data that is needed to fulfill their purposes and nothing beyond that.

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes to our information practices. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices.
